On Chanukah, the Shalva HaPoel Jerusalem basketball team took to the court to shoot hoops with the official team during a halftime event in front of 11,000 people!
After the athletic segment, the children and staff of Shalva lit Chanukah candles with the team’s management, and representatives of the city municipality. Adi Ohayun, a lead vocalist in the Shalva Band, stunned the crowd with a rendition of HaTikvah. The voices of 11,000 fans began to emanate in unison. The harmony of Adi and the fans, and the precious message that it represents – left not a dry house in the arena.
The evening ended in celebration as HaPoel Jerusalem won the game!
