The recently opened soaps workshop at Shalva is a symbol of transformation and represents our belief in a community of people working together to change the world, where all have the power to contribute.
At the workshops, visiting student and adult groups, as well as children attending Shalva’s after-school programs, prepare beautiful soaps made from high quality materials.
As part of its vocational training progam, Shalva graduates are trained to lead the workshops and teach visitors not only about the beauty of creating with one’s hands but also about the magic of inclusion. Visitors to the workshop experience firsthand the results of believing that everyone can achieve. Participants to the workshop leave with a bar of soap and an important lesson about acceptance and equality.
In addition, Shalva’s children create and package soaps which are sold in the Shalva Shop, with proceeds benefiting the center.
In development are more products including liquid soaps and candles.
