We are grateful that once again our doors are open to delegations and visitors from around the world. A Japanese delegation visited Shalva headed by Japan’s Ambassador Mizushima and Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Associate Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles.
The delegation came following “Dreams Never Dreamed”, Kalman Samuels memoir, being translated into Japanese. The Japanese book has been circulated widely among Japanese government personalities.
“The fact that a Japanese Ambassador is coming to visit an Israeli non-profit for disability care is an important milestone.” said Rabbi Cooper, “I believe it is just the beginning of various partnerships and exchange of knowledge between Israel and Japan in this field.”
“What you do at the Shalva Institue is indeed an effort to realize an inclusive society.” said the Japanese Ambassador, “I hope this visit would serve to further strengthen the friendly ties.”
