Over 150 members of AIPAC’s North American Leadership spent the morning at the Shalva National Center where they learned about Israel’s leading innovations in the field of disabilities.
The audience were blown away by the fantastic Shalva Band which comprises eight adults with disabilities who performed both the American and Israeli National anthems and a number of other popular songs.
In addition there was an informative panel who discussed the latest projects involving integration of adults with disabilities and advances in both technology and commerce.
The panel comprised representation from educational and health care institutions, from within the IDF Special in Uniform Unit and from social enterprises, all being developed to facilitate a more inclusive society.
Shalva’s Chairman, Avi Samuels participated on the panel and commented ‘It is so meaningful to have our partners from AIPAC visit Shalva, learn about the programs we are running,”
