Kalman Samuels releases his memoir book, telling his life story of triumph and hope.
Jerusalem, Israel, September 6, 2019 – Dreams Never Dreamed, by Kalman Samuels was formally launched on September 6, 2019 at a private event at the Shalva National Center in Jerusalem, attended by 250 of Shalva’s closest friends.
The book launch event included an exclusive panel with author Kalman Samuels and Avi Fischer, chairman of Israeli corporate giant, Clal Industries and founding partner of the leading Israeli law firm Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co., who represented Yossi Samuels’ legendary court case against the State of Israel in the 1980s. Famous actor Shuli Rand, who recorded the Audiobook version, read several excerpts. The book was initially written in English but released first translated into Hebrew. The Hebrew version of the book was published by Koren Publishers this month and is currently commercially available with an English version to be published in January 2020.
“Writing this book is the fruition of a promise I made to myself many years ago,” explains Kalman Samuels. “During those difficult years when Yossi was younger and I had no one who would listen, I found solace in my journal. Today, when a hundred thousand people from all over the world come to visit Shalva every year, I can truly appreciate how far we have come as a society.”
“This is a moving and inspiring story,” says Israeli President Reuven Rivlin who reviewed and recommends Samuels’ book. “It represents the most beautiful side of the State of Israel.”
